BHU GANG CLAIMS RESPONSIBILITY FOR FIRING AT ELVISH YADAV’S GURUGRAM HOME
GURUGRAM, Haryana, India – August 17, 2025:Word on social media is that the Himanshu Bhau gang is saying they were behind the shooting at YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s house in Gurugram. Yadav won Bigg Boss OTT, so he’s pretty well known. It happened Sunday morning around 5:30 a.m. Three guys wearing masks rode up on a motorcycle and fired about two dozen shots at Yadav’s house in Sector 57. The gang’s post says the attack was because Yadav was supposedly pushing illegal betting apps. They warned other social media people who push that stuff too. The cops in Gurugram know about the shooting, but they haven’t said if the gang’s claim is real.
What Happened
The shooting went down when three guys on a motorcycle got to Yadav’s house. Two of them got off the bike and shot up the place—like 25 to 30 rounds at the ground floor and first floor—before they took off.
Elvish Yadav’s dad, Ram Avtar Yadav, said the family was home when it happened, but nobody got hurt. Elvish wasn’t there; he was out of Haryana for work.
The police are watching CCTV footage from the neighborhood. Ram Avtar Yadav said you can clearly see two of the three attackers in the video.
Why the Gang Says They Did It
The gang claimed responsibility in a social media post with a photo of two guns and the words BHAU GANG SINCE 2020. They said Neeraj Faridpuria and Bhau Ritoliya, who are part of the gang, were the ones who did it.
The post said they were mad at Elvish Yadav for pushing illegal betting apps, which they said had messed up a lot of families. They ended with a creepy warning to other influencers, saying a call or a bullet could find you anytime.
The police haven’t said if the post is real or if those guys were involved. Gangs often use social media to scare people and take credit for attacks to get attention and freak people out.
Who is the Himanshu Bhau Gang?
Himanshu Bhau is supposedly the boss, and he’s a fugitive living overseas. Interpol has a red notice out for him. His gang is known for doing all kinds of illegal stuff, like extortion, murder, and violence in Delhi and Haryana.
This gang likes to use guns to send messages. Back in 2023, they shot over 40 rounds at a builder’s office in Dwarka, and another time they fired over 35 rounds at a liquor store owner.
If this shooting really was the gang, it fits with their pattern of going after high-profile people to look tough and scare everyone.
What Else Is Going On?
This shooting is just the latest in a bunch of problems for Elvish Yadav. In November 2023, he was named in a police report about snake venom being used at a rave party in Noida. He got arrested in March 2024 but was later let out on bail.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is also checking into Yadav under the money laundering laws. Though, on August 6, 2025, the Supreme Court stopped the snake venom case in the lower court.
The police have taped off the area and are getting evidence. They’re going to file a report based on what the family says happened. They’re still investigating to find the shooters and see if the social media claims are true.
